Where to go to College

The decision on where to attend College is a tough one for anybody. I know this because I am currently faced with this dilemma. I want to attend a good school, yet I don’t want to spend too much. Luckily a student loan is one of the easiest loans to obtain, and I won’t have to pay it back until I graduate, or drop out, if that happens. Yes, it would be nice to attend a prestigious Ivy League School. The question is, is attending one of the best Colleges worth the debt that comes with it? I have been trying to debate this for weeks now by reading magazines, reference books, admissions aids and even a College Blog that all cover some of the top schools in the nation. Maybe instead of looking at some of the best colleges, I should start looking for the “Best Value” Colleges. Basically a place I can get a good education at a fair price. Just because a College is expensive, does not necessarily make it one of the Best Colleges out there. This could also be branched off into a whole other discussion on what makes the best colleges. One thing is for sure though, I need to find a good school to attend.
Luckily I have good grades and an assortment of extracurricular activities, which I plan on continuing by playing and following College Sports. These activities alone have already gotten me some financial aid cash and will help me when I apply for College Scholarships. Still, I keep seeing all the extra fees of going off to school and it makes me wonder what I can do if I get into a financial struggle. Being only 17, it’s not like I can just go out and get a Payday Loan. My parents have already told me they can’t really help me out. I’ll figure something out though. I have a lot of major decisions to make. When it’s all said and done, I am looking forward to going to College.
