The first established University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dates back for more than fifty years. King Saud University offers a wonderful faculty, that focuses on teaching the more than 62,000 students through a commitment to excellence and intellectual growth. The university is very active throughout the community, and the many colleges associated with King Saud University have created many publications that are used by colleges outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The University has gained exposure through their many publications and documents based on research both through the university, and outside the university studies. The student base consists of more than 4,500 students who are currently enrolled in a variety of graduate studies, and of the 62,000 total enrolled students at the present time, 40 percent are female students. Among the many publications that have come out of King Saud University are more than 900 books, more than 380 issues of the King Saud University Journal, more than 250 bulletins, and well over 4 Million other publications and documents of various topics each year. The Academic Publishing and Press department at King Saud University is constantly focused on the creation and distribution of publications and documents in regards to using the most recently developed methods and technology that are currently available. Topics of the many publications from the department include the Arts, Applied Sciences, Research Studies, and other topics of great interest, both in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as other parts of the world. The Publishing Department at KSU was established due to the many contributions by faculty members and students alike, in the fields of compiling, research, and translation.

King Saud University is focused on providing an education that reaches students by initiating their interest and their intelligence. They are working toward helping students to become ambitious and confident as they step into the world of post-university life, and help to prepare them to face society after their graduation. Once graduated, students are prepared to contribute to society, both socially and culturally, with the many values and principals that they have learned at King Saud University.
